The Quiet Life has a sub project, called The Camera Club, that runs inline with the integrity of the brand. Camera club is a web site where anyone is able to upload photos of any kind. The web site is curated by a guest photographer which then edits the uploads to produce a fine array of images.
With every new Quiet Life collection the Camera Club plays an integral part, inspiring a line of amazing photo printed t shirts. COMUNE // A/W12 LOOK BOOK SHOOT BEHIND THE SCENES

For our A/W12 Look book shoot we put together this behind the scenes video. This video provides a little insight into the people and personalities responsible for making COMUNE tick.

We took this opportunity to get out of the city and venture out to the high desert of California. We rented house called the “Boulder House” which served as our home base during the three day catalog shoot. Trips like this are a great way for us to get out of our daily routines, and work together in a completely different setting. It’s great to hike around, location scout, prepare meals together, just spend some quality down time with each other. We returned back to L.A. with clear minds and a renewed sense of camaraderie. Thank you to all our friends who came along and everyone involved.

Spring is definately here to stay with concistent mild temparatures. Some people have even been spotted wearing shorts of recent, and even the first barbecues have been fired up. So in perfect timing The Quiet Life launches its new Spring 12 collection into stores and online. Concisting of some great new cut and sew styles including varsity jacket, oxford wovens, chino shorts and loop back french terry zip through hooded fleece. Alongside the expected super strong graphic & art t shirt print line, and a new selection of Camera club photo series t shirts.
The piece de resistance is ever growing cap collection, comprising of an array of snap back caps & 5 panel caps. Using all over printed fabrics, vintage fabrics, woven fabrics and embroidered logos. Look out for the clouds!

Gentle Fawn Spring 12 hits stores across the UK

The mild temperatures are arriving yet again, Spring is finally kicking Winter out. Perfect timing for Gentle Fawn to launch their new Spring 12 collection into stores across the UK. Sighting inspiration from 'Cow girls in the sand', 'Morrocan Gypsy', 'Electric youth' & 'The Wanderer'.
The new Gentle Fawn collection has an array of bright, bold and colourful fabric mixes such as rayon, cotton, spandex, chiffon, lace & silk. From dresses to tops, leggings, jackets, fleece, knits in the cut and sew. Alongside hand drawn printed graphics and of course the staple Essentials collection.
Early spring styles in cut and sew, essentials and printed graphics have been in stores for a short time with re orders going out already. This is a collection that places Gentle Fawn at the for front for the new season. Be sure to check your local independent online and street stores.

COMUNE // Mario Wagner Installation at The Standard

The other night COMUNE / Drop City contributor Mario Wagner was in Los Angeles visiting from San Francisco. He was there to do an installation piece at The STANDARD hotel Hollywood.
Mario’s whimsical futuristic time bending landscape fit in perfectly with the mid century modern decor of The Standard Hotel in Hollywood. The installation was located directly behind the front desk where a lounging woman resides between the hours of 8pm to 12am. The model was gracious enough to pose with one of the ski masks Mario brought which are worn by many of the characters found throughout his work.
We mingled at The Standard for a while and goofed around on the ultra hip furniture. Later we met up with COMUNE / Drop City contributor Bryan Schnelle for a pint or five at the ever seedy Monty’s bar downtown. Mission accomplished.
