The seventh issue of No Thoughts is dedicated to the art of the portrait in photography. An amazing ensemble of photographers has been rallied to showcase stunning and unique work for this issue. Some highlights of this issue include Dan Zev’s Occupy Wall Street portraits (including the cover); Mike Schrieber’s portraits of Jim Jones and Common; Brad Elterman’s work of Joan Jett and Michael Jackson; Jimmy Fontaine’s photo of Sonic Youth and Pavement; Samantha Casolari’s work of Michael Pitt and Blondie; Michael Barolet’s Ed Templeton large format print; Jim Herrington’s portrait of Justin Townes Earleand; as well as work by Ray Potes, Megan McIsaac, Michael J DeMeo, Evan Tetreault, Jesse Untracht-Oakner, Alyssa Noches, April Lea-Hutchinson, Maurizio Di Iorio, and many other up and comers on the international photography scene.
No Thoughts is more photo book than it is magazine. Each issue is carefully curated, and no image is random. By offering its readers amazing images by world class photographers alongside emerging up and comers, top quality production value, and affordable pricing, No Thoughts continues to defy the current trend of badly produced, “here today, gone tomorrow” photo zine projects.

COMUNE // AL PARTANEN IN COSTA RICA
COMUNE skate contributor Al Partanen recently got back from a trip to Costa Rica. Al’s been killing it this year and making us jealous with all the tropical destinations he’s been hitting up. Check out all these amazing photos from his adventure. Here’s what he had to say about his trip:
“I just returned from Costa Rica, (as you may have seen from insta) which was rad! Nike sent us down there to contribute to a project to build a skatepark for the kids living in San Yisidro specificly Barrio Flores. It was sick there was a crew of about 7-8 dudes from all over Europe along with me and Chet. We finished the park in the first week and then did a tour the second week shooting and filming for an article in Kingpin mag and to film for the Pura Vida documentry. Should be pretty cool, they were using video and film.” – Al Partanen

Andy Mueller/Quiet Life @ The Art Dumps Clocked In.
THIS Gallery presented The Art Dump's exhibition "Clocked In". The exhibition was a tongue-in-cheek look at the office environments many of us live in during the day. It is a fact that the Art Dump, much like everyone else in the workforce, spend many hours in solitary with only their tools — whatever those may be — to keep them company. Welcome to the working week. You can see the pictures here from the workspace of Andy Mueller creator and director of The Quiet Life. Look closely and you will see some of the new graphics used for the forthcoming Autumn 12 Quiet Life collection!
