The Quiet Life x Watershed

The Quiet Life are about to release their long awaited collaboration collection with Watershed shop. 

The collaboration called ‘Glass and Sew’ brings together Watershed’s bespoke surfboard design with The Quiet Life’s unique eye for and use of rare fabrics. To truly define an exclusive capsule collection consisting of four custom designed surfboard’s, two made in the UK and two made in California, cut and sewn garments including woven shirts, beach shorts, 5 panel cap, 6 panel polo cap, bucket hat and a graphic printed raglan t shirt and hooded zip beach hoody.

To celebrate the collaboration, Watershed will be taking their store concept to Boxpark London, to highlight the capsule collection alongside their own product and the most recent Quiet Life collection too.

The Boxpark pop up store will run from the 14th July - 20th July, including a launch event at the pop up on Thursday 17th July featuring the collaboration collection and drinks supplied by Vita Coco, Portobello gin and Piston Heads lager.

Watershed used their establishment as the UK photo shoot location for the new capsule collection, you can view the UK photo shoot here. With the US photo shoot releasing later this week in line with the Pop up store at Boxpark launch event.

Quiet Life art installation London

The Quiet Life have recently launched their UK art/camera club installation. Starting off at the General Store on Commercial street, Shoreditch in London. The installation concists of a selection of the some of the key art work & camera club photographs, that featured in previous, recent and current Quiet Life collections. Art work & Typography from Andy Mueller & photographs from the likes of Gia Ford Coppela. The installation will feature @ General Store for a few weeks and then move onto another store in the UK as part of the moving tour. Check out 'Pug Life', available as a t shirt from the new Holiday quick strike collection in stores this week.

General Store A/W '12 Trends

General Store have been pushing the boundaries of retail for mens wear, mixing premium lines from Topman with other premium feel mens wear brands. Starting with their Shoreditch store, General Store have just released their A/W 12 trends video with a snap shot view of new product in their Covent Garden store, recently opened earlier this year, heavily featuring the new Quiet Life Autumn collection.

The Quiet Life spring 12 collection launched last week at The General Store in Shoreditch. Consisting of art/graphic printed t hsirts, exclusive camera club photo prints t shirts, early 90's fresh prince of bel air inspired all over printed 5 panel caps, embroidered snapback caps and vibrant ray ban style sunglasses. These wont be around for too long in The General Store on Commercial street in Shoreditch, so be sure to pay them a visit.

Housed over two discreet floors at 98 Commercial Street in the heart of Shoreditch this unique space is an initial one-off concept store with its own distinct handwriting and personality. 

Curated by Gordon Richardson, Design Director of Topman and Matthew Murphy Creative Director of b store London; this intimate space will feature an edited selection of core Topman pieces, Topman Design, Topman Limited and seasonal project collaborations alongside a carefully selected range of key branded items, limited edition artworks and books exclusive to this store.

Exclusives for the launch include T and F Slack Shoes who have designed three derby shoes exclusive for General Store as well as Swear who have produced two pairs of footwear (one shoe and one boot). Surface to Air jewellery will be available as well as a limited edition t-shirt exclusively for the launch. Rite in the Rain General Store notebooks have also been produced as a limited edition run. General store will also house a selection of limited OFR books from Paris and edited collections from Casio watches, Pendleton, The Quiet Life, COMUNE, Norsea Industries and Percival with plenty more exciting collaborations and link ups to come. 

Furnished throughout with personal finds and custom built displays sourced by The Peanut Vendor, with temporary art installations, frequent fashion updates and in-store events; the store, staffed by knowledgeable lovers of all things contemporary, will act as both a social hub and fashion destination in the heart of the local community.
